This Los Angeles home was thoughtfully updated to create a more cohesive, transitional interior while honoring the character of its existing architecture. The kitchen, family room, living room, and dining room each had distinct design influences — from Craftsman details to an English library feel — so our goal was to unify the spaces with elevated finishes, custom furnishings, new lighting, and a refined material palette suited for both everyday living and entertaining.

In the kitchen and family room, we added ceiling beams to visually expand the low ceiling height and connect the space to the home’s existing architectural details. Painted cabinetry, updated countertops, a new backsplash, and a reworked island helped shift the kitchen from Craftsman to a cleaner transitional style. In the living and dining rooms, rich navy walls and ceilings, layered furnishings, and a contemporary fireplace created a bold, intimate space designed for sophisticated entertaining.
