We also recommend exploring our Blog, where we share more in-depth guidance on design, construction, renovations, and the many details that shape the world of interior design. We love helping people better understand the process, and we elaborate on many of these topics there.
We serve clients across the United States. Our main studio is located in Los Angeles, California, with a growing studio presence in Denver, Colorado. Over the years, we have worked with clients up and down the West Coast, across to North Carolina, and in many states in between.
Whether your project is local or out of state, we begin with an initial conversation to learn more about your home, goals, timeline, and how we can best support the design process.
We recommend reaching out as soon as you are considering a project so we can learn more about your goals, timeline, budget, and any important details that may shape the process. Every project begins with a simple introductory call, which we can typically schedule within a day or two of your initial inquiry.
From there, we will determine the best next step, whether that is an appointment for you to visit our studio or a time for us to come to your home. For out-of-state clients, the process may vary slightly, but all projects begin with an initial conversation so we can better understand the scope and how we can help.
Absolutely. We always talk with our clients about which existing pieces they would like to incorporate into their new design. In many cases, we are able to thoughtfully work those items into the finished space. Occasionally, as the design process unfolds and we discover the best use of the room, an existing piece may not be the right fit for the overall plan. When that happens, we will talk through it with you and help determine the best direction. Our goal is always to honor the pieces you love while creating a space that feels cohesive, functional, and beautifully considered.
Full-service design is the best fit for clients who want a complete, cohesive design vision and professional guidance throughout the process. It is ideal if you are building, renovating, furnishing multiple spaces, or working on a project with many moving pieces, such as construction, custom cabinetry, finish selections, furniture, lighting, window treatments, art, and styling.
This level of service is also a great fit if you want an experienced team to help manage the details, make confident design decisions, coordinate with contractors and trades, and bring the project from concept through completion. If you are unsure whether your project is the right fit, we always begin with an initial conversation to learn more about your goals, scope, timeline, and budget.
Our studio is best suited for clients looking for a thoughtful, comprehensive design process and a highly detailed finished result. We are a great fit for full-service residential projects, including large-scale renovations, new construction, kitchen and bathroom remodels, full-home furnishings, custom cabinetry, and spaces that require a cohesive design vision from concept through completion.
We also work well with clients who value collaboration, trust the design process, and are looking for professional guidance through the many decisions involved in creating a beautiful, functional, and personal home. The best way to determine if your project is a good fit is to begin with an initial conversation so we can learn more about your goals, scope, timeline, and budget.
Our full-service design projects are highly comprehensive and tailored to the needs of each home. While every project is different, this typically includes design concept development, space planning, finish and material selections, cabinetry and built-in design, lighting, plumbing, furniture, fabrics, window treatments, decor, and styling.
We also guide the process from the big-picture design direction down to the smallest details, helping coordinate selections, specifications, ordering, and installation so the finished space feels cohesive, functional, and thoughtfully considered. Full-service design is ideal for clients who want a complete design vision and professional support throughout the process.
Project timelines vary based on the scope, scale, and complexity of the work. Generally speaking, for full-service design projects, we aim to move through the design process within approximately 3 to 6 months.
This typically includes the time needed to develop the overall design direction, make selections, refine details, and create workable construction drawings when they are part of the project scope. Once the design phase is complete, the overall timeline will depend on factors such as contractor scheduling, product lead times, construction scope, and installation needs.
Potentially, yes. While many of our projects are larger in scope, we do take on select individual rooms when they are the right fit for our process. Kitchens and primary bathrooms are often well-suited as standalone design projects because of the level of detail, planning, and coordination involved.
Our minimum design fee is $5,000, so some individual rooms may be a great fit, while smaller-scale updates may not require our full-service design process but could be a great fit for our Design Center. The best way to know is to start with an initial conversation so we can learn more about your room, goals, and scope.
Before your consultation, it is helpful to gather any information that will give us a clear understanding of your project goals, needs, and priorities. This may include inspiration images, existing floor plans or drawings, photos of your space, a wish list, budget considerations, timeline goals, and any specific pieces of furniture, art, or decor you would like to incorporate.
You do not need to have everything figured out before we meet. The consultation is part of the discovery process, and we will guide you through the right questions to better understand your home, lifestyle, and the scope of work.
Yes. Before beginning any project, we require a signed Letter of Agreement, also referred to as an LOA. This agreement is signed by both parties and outlines the scope of work, design services, fees, and other important project details so everyone has a clear understanding before the project begins.
We understand that things come up, and sometimes a project may need to be paused or adjusted. Before signing a Letter of Agreement, we work with our clients to make sure they feel fully informed and committed to moving forward. If a project does need to go on hold, we will work with you to discuss timing, scheduling, and the best path forward.
If a client chooses to cancel or terminate the project, the terms outlined in the signed Letter of Agreement will apply. In the event of termination by the client, the client is responsible for payment for all work completed and any expenses due up to the date of termination.
Yes. We love working collaboratively with architects, contractors, builders, tradespeople, and other project team members. Our experience in both the design and construction world allows us to communicate clearly, understand the moving pieces, and help keep the process fluid and coordinated.
Whether we are joining an existing team or helping assemble the right professionals for your project, our goal is to support a collaborative process that brings the full design vision to life.
We've spent the past 20 years developing relationships with manufactures and vendors all over the world. We source from hundreds of manufacturers, custom builders, lighting companies, fabric houses and more. Our design processes is about creating a harmonious blend of pieces so that a space never feels cookie cutter or flat. The majority of our sources are to the trade only, some household names, many not. This blend of sources is what makes our designs deep and layered.
Yes. Client pricing is typically below standard retail pricing, particularly with manufacturers and vendors where we have established trade relationships. We work diligently to secure the best available pricing for our clients while giving them access to furnishings, lighting, materials, and other products that may not be available through traditional retail channels.
For manufacturers that do not offer trade pricing, our contract allows for a 30% markup on the best available purchase price. This markup supports the full purchasing process, including sourcing, quoting, ordering, tracking, expediting, coordinating deliveries, and helping resolve any issues that may arise along the way.
Our goal is to provide both strong value and a professionally managed purchasing experience, while keeping client pricing competitive and, in most cases, below retail.
We use a third party furniture receiver and delivery company. Most of our manufacturers and vendors require a loading dock for deliveries, other items like wallpapers and small items we will coordinate delivery to site as needed. Receivers accept, inspect and handle any issues that arise with your orders. Once all items are consolidated at their warehouse and the job site is ready for final install, we schedule Install Day and all the hard work up to that point comes together in real life!
